Edit + reports are produced by TEA for each PEIMS Submission so administrators can verify the data turned into the state for their campus is accurate before the final file is sent.  The PEIMS Specialist for your campus corrects all known errors before the reports are printed and sent to the campus.  But, they do not know your students and whether the information reported for the student is accurate.  Since the campus administrator is held responsibile for what is reported, they should do the final review of the data.  The check sheet sent with the reports assures the administrator received and approved of the information or that they have returned the report to MIS for corrections.  Data submitted in a PEIMS Submission is used for funding, accountability ratings, AYP, Performance Based Monitoring, etc.
